I have a '96 K-1500 Suburban near push button 4X4. I was driving down interstate, and as soon as I get of the ramp and onto clean pavement, I tolerate of the gas and shifted out of 4-high to 2-high. About a 1/4 mile later, the vehicle jump like I hit something really big. I pulled over and could find nil. The 4X4 would no longer work, though, and the lights in the push button don't work, the 2-high doesn't come on at adjectives and the 4-high and 4-low lights blink. Does this sound resembling transfer armour, or shifting motor? I have another '96, but it's a K-2500 near manual shift for the 4X4. Would this verbs case even work surrounded by the K-1500?

So, no the other x-fer covering will not be a bolt in element because it is a different model. You could go through the modifications required to make it fit, if it is worth your while... Cutting a hole contained by the floor and fabbing the linkage to shift it, the different tail housing on your transmission for the armour to bolt to. The case from the 3/4-ton is a stronger component, so if that is a benefit to you afterwards be prepared to shell out some bucks if your not going to do any of the work yourself!
