I am currently fitting a 350c.u./th350 combo in my 1950 Chevy pick up. I am still at the fabricate stage,and will need to 'pull' the motor out again.Problem is.. I entail to check the engine is o.k.(30 day warranty) Would it be o.k. to run the engine near the trans 'dry' for 5mins or so?
Answers: Definitely not, do not run the engine if the trans has no fluid within it, you will run the risk of burning the clutch pack.
