Shaky thought while switching drive to park...

Answers:    With 20K there shouldn't be any crucial issues. The TSB the guy was discussion about be for "higher than usual" temperature, but not for OVERHEAT (in the red). Deffinetly have the t-stat changed if it overheated. They are a misery on the TB, but it has to be done. It could enjoy been compromised.

The cooling system does NOT stipulation to be flushed, so dont waste your time/money on that.

The solid thing is to try to keep hold of track of all the factor that are occuring when it gets hot again. The agent will need that info. Its tough when they are not sufficiently expert to duplicate it.

It could have be something as simple as an air bubble surrounded by the cooling system. They can cause "hot" spots.

The bulletin the guy be talking roughly speaking is:

Some customers may comment on higher than typical engine coolant temperature measuring device readings when operating the vehicle within very large outside ambient temperatures, and surrounded by stop and go or slow moving traffic.

Cause
Reduced nouns flow across the radiator and preheated air from stopped or slow moving driving conditions from traffic congestion may result contained by normally high engine coolant operating temperatures as indicated by the warmth gauge.

Correction
Technicians are to reprogram the PCM next to an updated software calibration. This new service calibration be released with TIS satellite background update version 7.3 available July 7, 2004. As other, make sure your TECH 2(R) is updated next to the latest software revision.

This new calibration will bring the PCM to command small amounts of additional disciple engagement to control engine coolant temperatures and calculate readings closer to a customer perception of middle-of-the-road.

Like i said this is for people who say-so its running hotter than usual or hotter than their old vehicle. NOT for overheat. Overheat will not occur because of this bulletin.

Thanks! Goodluck
