I am either going to bring back a new 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab 4x4 beside a hemi, or a new 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab 4x4 near the 5.9 liter Cummins Diesel. They are both automatics, with the SLT trim box. The diesel is one that still has the ripened 5.9 liter cummins in it, not the unsullied 6.7. I commute 45 miles 7 days a week to work and school, mostly highway. I regularly pull any an 8 foot trailer and 1 atv or a 16 foot trailer with 3 ATVs. Also I do greatly of hauling around a commercial mower. Currently I have a Dodge Dakota Laramie that I bought up to date 1 year ago, it is a V-8 4x4, but it is just not big ample. So which one of those two would you choose from?
Answers: Go for the diesel. You drive far enough to get hold of it warm respectively day and you absolutely tow enough to warrant the diesel. With the diesel you'll delight in better mileage and better performance for a vehicle of this size. A loaded hemi is a dog compared to the Cummins. Be glad you're getting the 5.9 too.
Also come over to http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/ for virtuous information on the Cummins and the Dodge in standard.
I have a 2007 5.9 Quad Cab 4x4 next to a 6 speed. I'm getting right at 20 mpg and its a lot of fun to drive. Theres a guy I work next to that has a Quad Cab 4x4 automatic beside a hemi and his truck isn't nearly as fun. Sure it can pull matching loads (kinda) but it won't do it as fast and it get horrible mileage at the same time. Don't listen to the comment just about the PowerWagon either. Its a nice truck but your still stuck next to the hemi.
seriously..forget the two of them and look into a Dodge Power Wagon..itll pull anything you paw it, and itll be different..i be going to, how many guys you know hold a Ram, and how many guys you know enjoy a Power Wagon? be different!!
