Anyone know give or take a few...

Answers:    Don't get your engin rebuild. Go for a low mileage engine imported from Japan. it will cost you a great deal less, hold under 40,000 miles on average, and a warranty too. It can be swapped within as little as a day. A spigot job will cost you more and help yourself to a few days to complete. Those V6s aren't cheap to rebuild any.

Rebuilding that engine will run you around $3000. Then add $1000 to purloin out the old engine and install brand new one. So the whole process would run you around $4000. If you can find a used engine near low mileage, you should be able to find one beneath $2000 and install it for $1000. This would be the way to stir if you don't mind taking a chance on used engine.

Yes, burning grease means you are going to stipulation new piston rings replaced. For you to do it, it take about 6 hours to verbs the engine (4 hours to reinstall), and will require both inside and outside micrometers. An Engine hoist, and engine stands, ring compressor, ring filer, and ring expander is also required. The tools are going to run you around $600. New ring set will cost you $150, bearing set for $100. And you involve the head gasket set for another $100. An experienced DIY engine builder can do it around $1500 or so (most of the money is used for machining process) plus 20 hours of labor but you won't know how to find a professional that would do this under $3000.
