Daytime running lights vs. automatic lights?

I have a 2007 Toyota Corolla CE and I hold a feature where on earth my lights automatically turn on at night or whenever I drive through murky areas. I checked MSN autos and it says that automatic lights are not a portion on my model but daytime running lights are. But aren't DRLs mandatory in the US? If anyone know what this feature is if truth be told called, it would comfort because I'm trading in my coup¨¦ and I want my new vehicle to have like peas in a pod type of lights.

Answers:    You have automatic headlights if the lights (front and rear) come on when at hand is darkness outside. Daytime running lights come on whenever the vehicle is running, and usually are only surrounded by the front!

MSN autos is not the best source for car information!

daytime running lights are not required contained by the u.s, just to start rotten. But what you need to look for is on your tear look either surrounded by the vents or simply in the center of the scuttle there should be a black circle, that black sensor is sensitive to hurricane lantern, and when it gets shadows the sensor kick on you headlights, daytime running lights are programmed contained by the cars computer
