So...the "Brilliant" people surrounded by my life told me that grease is oil and it does not issue where I bring my motor for an oil modify. I am leasing an '08 volkswagen jetta. These newer cars tell you when it is time for an grease change...I be less than 100 miles to progress so I decided to ring VW to make an appointment. They told me $52 for an grease change..when I told some those about that they said to be precise wayy too much and to bring it somewheres else, because dealerships will rip you off. Well, I brought it to Monroe and salaried $21. When I got put money on into the car my service feathery was still on so I go inside and asked them if they could get it rotten. The guy asked for my owners manual and 5 minutes latter came vertebrae out and said they didn't have the right "tool" to do this and that I should travel to VW. I went to VW and explained my situation! They told me NEVER bring my vehicle some wheres except VW for an oil move!! They said my car requires synthetic grease and my motor could blow. hmm..any advice?

2nd, yes and no...yes, most oil is interchangeable and yes you can switch final and forth from synthetic to conventional and it will not hurt your engine on most makes and models..yes, most 07 and newer VW's do require full synthetic grease as do the newer Cadillacs, BMW's, and some others, but that is lone because the manufacturer is recommend it...yes but doubtful that it could harm your engine because of the grease passages and clearances to be exact in your engine... and NO you don't own to take it to the seller every time you need an grease change but if you are going to use full synthetic sort sure it is EURO grade because of the recommendation made by the manufacturer.
3rd, $52.00 is certainly not that bad for full synthetic. Some of the shops that I enjoy been to or worked for charge upwards of $90.00 or more.
4th, check within your owners manual for the types of grease and how to reset your "change oil" lantern. Most shops will have most special tools( if required ) to reset your wishy-washy.
Good luck and hope this helps
it is not true that the engine will blow. it is better for u to stay next to synthetic oil on the saloon that u have already put synthetic on.
but you can other buy the oil and gain some one to do the oil transform for you that way u still same some money
