Answers: The Aztek was surely a 'controversial' design, but it was/is very handy for lots of things. I wasn't contained by the biz when they came out, but it seemed to me they be designed for the young couple just starting out. Did you know you can seize a 4x8 sheet of plywood in the rear? Very handy, indeed...
Need an adjectives wheel drive and don't like a mini van? The Aztek be for you. It was the first in the up-to-the-minute fad of crossover vehicles. Maybe its problem be it was a little too far ahead of the curve?
Personally, I never thought they be ugly. In the right color with the right bits and pieces, they were actually nice looking. But that bright red tomato looking color be god awful!

Do I like it for the fact that it's name after an ancient people? no the buick version looked better. im suprised to still see azteks driving around. i think most folks bought it because they were pontiac fans. (brand affiliation i mull over its called)

Depends on what you mean by suckered. They be selling these things based on a "love it or hate it" look simply. They didn't particularly stand out in contents space, mileage, performance...or really ANY catagory. People bought them because they were simply weird enough to be appealing. Personally I'm not a adherent of the looks, but I am glad that humans are creative enough to think up an automotive monstrosity close to this once in a while, just to hold on to things interesting. :-)Do I like it for the fact that it's name after an ancient people? no
