Answers:    I owned a Charger R/T 440 magnum. It said 150 on speedo and would do every inch of it. Down shift to 3rd at 70 mph and burn rubber on acceleration.. 80mph 4th set you spinal column in the form if you floored it.. A real'hot rod' passed everything on the road----except a gas station. Real smart looking car. Had an, I thought, unusual external grease pump. Mounted on forward engine on drivers side. Get it and restore it.

If restored to original, the handling is not as impossible as you might think.below normal driving its not much different than ay other sports car.If you want to throw it into turns and drive aggressive the you will notice the difference.Depending on flipside end gears, highway speeds are no problem.I own a 68 super bee with a 440 4-speed and 3.55:1 ratio backside end gear.60 to 70 mph I am around 3,000 rpm grant or take.Thats beside a 26 inch tall tire.a 3.23:1 reverse with a taller tire would be smaller quantity rpm on the highway. It all depends an how the vehicle is set up.
Nomatter how the car is built,They are a blast to drive. Its raucous, the seats are smaller number than ergonomic and it eats gas,but I love it.
