i bought a 94 dodge intrepid with what the owner said was a doomed to failure trans. my question is that the car can drive fine sometimes and sometimes it basically wont go into gear. ill put it into drive and it will only sit there sometimes. if i give it gas it revs up but it basically sits there like its contained by neutral. i would say a biddable 90% of the time it dose that is when i start the car and travel from park to reverse. if i go from park to drive its fine. when it drops out like that i hold to let the car sit for something like a half an hour or so until i can get it to be in motion again. it doesnt matter if the car is at running temp or if its cold.
