they dont take home either of these models surrounded by the US any more, theyve been replaced beside the e350 and e550. The only TRUE difference is engine size and options, the e350 will amass u money, but as the other answer says, the e550 have better value.
E320, 265 HP V6 22-25 MPG HWY 0-60 7 Sec
E500 360 HP V8 18-20 MPG HWY 0-60 5.5 Sec
E500 retains value longer.
Answers: I had an E320 (previous body style), and very soon I drive an E550. I'd say it really depends on your driving style and what it is for. If price is not an issue, I'd jump with the bigger engine everytime. If you'll be driving it surrounded by stop and go traffic, the E320/350 would be my suggestion since you won't be capable of enjoy the power anyway.
But if you want some oomph to it, jump with the E500/550. My E550 reminds me of the elder generation E55 AMG... it have a lot of power (387 hp to be exact). It's nice to enjoy all that power in place to be used when needed :-)
Hope this helps your judgment.
