Are all of the aftermarket saloon (racing) parts on ebay second rate or are there legit ones. If you vote they are, please explain why?
Answers: If a seller is selling 20+ of like thing (i.e. exhausts, turbo kit, suspension parts, headers, etc), and they are way cheaper than you see at most online stores; stay away. They are cheaper for reason. They are usually second rate (2nd quality), have poor weld (if it's metal), made of low quality (cost) substance, and don't last long. On the other paw, there are seller who sell accurate quality resourcefully known brand products for a reduced price. You really enjoy to be careful though, since here are tons of knock-off brand products that have baptize brand names within their descriptions or titles. And something like an intake, for a day by day driver car, it is more economical to merely buy a cheap pipe. With that, you don't really have to verbs about piping size or bends until you start making profusely of power.
For someone who is building a "race car", buying stuff sour of e-bay is pretty much a no go (to an extent). Name brand products are expensive because of adjectives the R&D that has gone into the product, as economically as the quality of the product. For CF doors, I would outstandingly recommend not buying generic parts. Anyone can make CF parts and vend them, it doesn't mean that they will look appropriate. The weaves are usually bearing off (even VIS have this problem and they are pretty well known), fitment is horrible, they will fade within the sun if the proper coating wasn't applied, and if they are made of second rate materials they can easily crack & seam can separate.
I'd highly recommend joining a big site/messageboard similar to Honda-Tech.com, spending some time there making posts, and next looking at their Sponsor/Classified sections. If anything you can at smallest find out a good factory owner to research.
