Answers:    Actually it probably have nothing to do with your battery-operated...

I have a 95 Golf and let me newly tell you the problems I have have with the alarm. It goes sour when I am driving down the street! Then I couldn't get the car to start unless I have tripped the alarm. Then I had to slam the door to "jar" the alarm mechanism inside to win the alarm to trip to start the car. It was a nightmare.

Turns out from around a year of this attitude from my car and all of the times I tripped the alarm trying to bring the darn thing to start I really pissed off it's computer system and have to have it replaced and completely reprogrammed.

Another problem it could be (which also happened contained by my car) is the alarm mechanism inside the door may be bad. That component is a pretty cheap repair if that is in reality the problem.

One more thing it could be is the actual motor for the door locks which is in the trunk usually. Probably that little motor uproar you hear when you lock/unlock it. That is an pretty easy fix too.

You might want to take it and own a mechanic put it on a diagnostic machine (Had to have mine towed to do that) and that will communicate them anything not functioning properly and exactly where your electrical problems lie.

From the research I own done on the internet like 75% of 1995's Volkswagen Jetta's and Golf's have these alarm/electrical problems...especially if you hold an after market stereo in the sports car...it will totally mess with the alarm! Good Luck! Don't let your problems escalate because mine terminated up being costly to fix.

check the battery spawn sure it is fully charged.take a little lp1 grease and stick the nozzle in the key gap and lightly spray into each exit on the doors if there like my doors in attendance is an electric solenoid in there which works past its sell-by date of the battery so try this and then phone call you local vw dealer and talk to the service dept they should hold an answer for you good luck
