Fine wats the difference between a 01 camaro z28 and camaro ss they both hold a 350 engine?

Rust contained by tiller drums within Acura...

Ram Air option doesn't really do anything until your past 100mph or so. Majority of the bundle is appearance and different exhaust. My 01 stock Z28 was never beat by any S.S. models, but that could be drivers. If you own a choice in the two I'd go beside the S.S.unless you dont want to stand out even more for the cops.
Funny, Heather, but SS most certainly DOES stand for Super Sport.
What do you think it funds, if not that?

The engines are not the old-style 350's, either.I surmise they're really 348's, but they just call them 5.7's anyway.
what this guy said..

Your both wrong the SS does indeed stand for super sport and is the subsequent higher model over the Z28. The Z28 and SS BOTH have a 346ci Gen III LS1 V-8 beside 10.0:1 compression ratio and are the exact same engine in every way. The principle the SS has a slightly higher rating is because of the run into air scoop contained by the center of the hood that is supposed to feed the engine cool nouns. In reality GM never tested this and both the Z28 and SS make around the same rear tiller horspower numbers on a chassis dyno, in the range of 300-310 at the wheel. The other differences between a Z28 and SS are just the spoiler, wheels, and on the 35th anniversary edition SS nearby is a stripe package
Q: Why pay more for the Firehawk/SS choice than a supercharger would cost?

A: If your only goal is to travel fast, don't buy a Firehawk; get a crotch rocket, 454 Vega, or any number of swiftly vehicles. Different people hold different priorities. To some, the Firehawk package offers the watertight balance of performance, apt looks, ability to hold its value within the long term, FULL warranty, and price. The same goes for the SS.

Answers:    SS does stand for super sport and SLP was the installer of this package selection. Cars where shipped to SLP from GM for this add on and some where on earth shipped without spoilers and base hoods within the last few years of the SS until 02. (00-02 or 01-02 no spoilers from GM everything was installed by SLP). Rims, Functional Ram Air Hood, Exhaust, Rear Spoiler, Interior and Exterior Badges to be exact your SS package in a nut shell.

2001 be the lowest production year ever for the Camaro, partially due to production ending closer than usual to begin work on the 35th Anniversary cars. Only 29,009 Camaros were built this year. The Z28 and SS models received the intake various from the LS6, the engine used in the fifth generation Corvette Z06. This evolution also resulted in a revised camshaft profile and removal of the EGR system. GM also introduced a new slave cylinder for the clutch assembly that be superior to the design of previous years. Accordingly, stated power ratings were increased to 310 hp (231 kW) for the Z28 and 325 hp (242 kW) for the SS. SLP reintroduced the RS model this year, which included rally stripes and Z28 take-off exhaust (from their SS conversions).

Your both wrong the SS does indeed stand for super sport and is the next highly developed model over the Z28. The Z28 and SS BOTH have a 346ci Gen III LS1 V-8 with 10.0:1 compression ratio and are the exact same engine within every way. The reason the SS have a slightly higher rating is because of the ram nouns scoop in the center of the hood explicitly supposed to feed the engine cool air. In genuineness GM never tested this and both the Z28 and SS make about one and the same rear wheel horspower numbers on a chassis dyno, surrounded by the range of 300-310 at the wheels. The other differences between a Z28 and SS are purely the spoiler, wheels, and on the 35th anniversary edition SS there is a stripe collection.
