Ford ranger engine?

Hey guys i have a 1996 ford ranger that i enjoy drivin for 4 wonderful years. It now have a problem and i need back. I also need answers to some other question. My truck has have the check engine light on since the 1st year. It runs rich, smells of gasoline and idels extrememly rough. Sometimes dies. I replaced both O2 sensors to no effect. I currently notice a small consumption of oil surrounded by the past 6 months. Nothing horrible but shes getting elder. Its got 176,000 HARD HARD miles LOL on dirt roads, gusty roads not to mention it has be well over 6' bad the ground on numerous occasions. I cannot integer out why it runs the way it does. The computer read 1 bank lean, on a code. Noone can facilitate me. I've yet to hold a ford diagnosis done yet but i'm curious as to if it would do any moral. The engine will be dead surrounded by not more than a year or 2 i'm almost possitive, and i'm going to replace it since the tranys are indestructable.

What headlights are available for my chrysler...

Answers:    Why not have a diagnosis done? These engines are disgraceful for intake gasket leaks. This sounds resembling it may be your problem. Tranny's are indestructible? I laugh at that considering how copious of them I have replaced. I WOULD own a diagnostic done on the lean condition, I am willing to bet the intake gaskets are within fact leak. This is not a hard repair to do, and may collect your engine and catalysts.

Can I switch transmissions well? Chevy...

THE LIGHT COMING ON CAN MEAN ANYTHING FROM SHORT TO 5-600 REPAIR. AS FAR AS REPLACING ENGINE YOU WILL LOSE ANY TRADE OR SALE VALUE WITH NEW ENGINE AND AT THOSE MILES WILL TURN INTO A MONEY PIT.
