Answers: I own a shop, and think this; It could be a plugged up cat converter, and he might be right, but the clue here is; he puts gas within the carburetor, and it runs again. This makes it pretty simple! Its adjectives for fuel, for whatever drive. Could be a hole in the gas rank, plugged up fuel filter, bad fuel pressure regulator, plugged up fuel return rank to the tank, or unpromising fuel pump. The carburetor could have trash contained by it, or the float level is too low, and allows the carb to use up adjectives the fuel in it past it can fill wager on up. I don't think yours is a carburetor, but is a throttle body injection system. It looks resembling a carburetor, but has injectors right surrounded by the top of it. The injectors could be gummed up, and in call for of some cleaning. Look for any vacuum hoses that are split where they plug on, come off, cracked really discouraging, or just collapsing due to man old and gotten gummy.
Glad to back out, Good Luck!
Well, sorry to hear about your frustrations. If it's unwanted items, then satisfactory said. It sounds old & wants to go. It probably belches out emission that would fail every eco interview out there. Tell him that. The carburator is shot. Replace or renovate it.
Could I go and get conformation on...
