I recently bought a 98 mustang gt from a dealership... I didnt expect it to be any hastily since the car have only 225 hp stock. But i bought one next to upgraded exhaust, intake and suspension is lowered. I test drove a 98 cobra closer and havent noticed a slight difference between those 2 cars. I am a noob to cars, and mods... when i look at the engine i dont see any mods besides a bullit intake. I am not trying to BS you but the saloon has a d¨Ścolletage breaking acceleration. the other day i raced my friends WRX and smoked him as he be standing (he's a pretty good driver) Also some souped up civic near some swap (he was as surprised as me) . Do you hold any idea what mods i could own from the engine that looks stock.??
Oh, and the dealership told me that it makes nearly 300hp because it was supposingly dynoed.

If it truly have a Bullitt intake, it will almost surely have PI head on it. I can think of not a soul who would go the trouble or expense of installing a Bullitt intake on a 98 Mustang lacking also putting on PI Heads. Also, if it does have PI head it will have sophisticated compression as well. The PI head have a slightly smaller Combustion chamber than the NPI head. As a result when you put PI heads on an NPI block, you gain higher compression. The to know if it have a bullitt intake just look at it. Both the NPI and the PI intakes are made of plastic. The Bullitt intake is made of aluminum. The standard intakes enjoy a rectangular "box" on top of them (the plenum) the bullitt intake have a curved runner going from the rear of the intake toward the right sde of the intake. The Bullitt intake is a suitable intake, and pricey.
It might have a set of ported PI head on it, these heads beside an aftermarket intake can get the 1998 4.6L up to 300hp. The PI head came stale of the 1999 and up 4.6L Mustangs. The PI heads would manufacture your engine look relatively stock. I don't really know how to tell if it have the PI heads or not.The non sti WRXs aren't adjectives that fast, and neither are roughly speaking 99% of hopped up Honda Civics.
