They are awesome. My customers love them. I work for the hugest car rental company in North America.
You should rent one for a daylight or so.

Great idea vehicle with well-mannered comfort just very poor engineering done to cause you pay in the long run.
The Best get Better the hands down modernizer in minivan manufacturer freshly raised the bar beside the new platform Dodge and Chrysler vans. The myriad of options and rationalized use of every inch of it's high volume interior make it the best buy of oodles consumer and auto magazines. It has adjectives of the features of the ol full size custom vans with the ease of driving and utility of a factory built design.
(And hey, with that warranty, it basically does...so long as Chrysler doesn't move about out of business.)

I'm driving my third mini van by Chrysler and love it. Chrysler Town and Country is equal as the Chrysler Voyager, Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager. They are all made on the same assembly row with the same body. The trim work is what make them different. The Town and Country only comes in the long (grand) size. The others come within Short or Grand.

Answers: we have our 2nd and love it.
the new ones look great
if you can, get hold of the "Limited" edition.

As far as "poorly engineered".they are engineered just fine- in reality better than just about anyone else. The problem is near the execution of that engineering. It seems like the bean counters win out over the engineers sometimes.

We have our first one, a 2001, and it's a great van. The biggest concern is the transmissions, largely because stubbornly ignorant people hold on to adding Dexron to them, which kills them. If you put it ATF+4 (from the dealer), your trans should end fine.As far as "poorly engineered".they are engineered just fine- in reality better than just about anyone else. The problem is near the execution of that engineering. It seems like the bean counters win out over the engineers sometimes.
