Here is a view of the backside cargo nouns of the NHW20 Prius:

As stated in the Owner's Manual, drop the headrests to their lowest smooth, and then you push down on the buttons on the top of the flipside seats, practical the doors, and then you can fold down the 60/40 split backside seat, to look similar to:

(If necessary, you can also verbs the front passenger seat forward and fold its seatback to the rear, to give you added room.)
According to this same presentation, the interior extent of the car is 55.3 inches.

I instinctively have carried an 8' closet pole surrounded by my 2004 Prius, without need to fold down the front seat (just stuck between the front seats). I've see photos of an 8' surfboard carried inside a Prius, and I know someone who has fit a cello beside hardback case inside theirs.

However, I enjoy some rather voluminous hardback luggage, about 30" high. I cannot place 2 of these luggage pieces in the reverse cargo nouns (seatback up for passengers), because of the slope of the rear hatchback door method that if I turn the suitcase such that the width is pointed up beside the longest 30" in length going from door to seatback, the flipside hatch door will not close. (the suitcase must be laid flat for the door to close.) There's still plenty of room for smaller bags if I hold one 30" suitcase with the 30" going lengthwise tire to tire. I haven't tried it beside the seatbacks down, as I've usually needed the passenger space (or just put the 2nd 30" suitcase within the back seat).

So, the biggest quiz I would have is what is the amount of space between the front seatbacks and the backside cargo nouns? I think I've laid down surrounded by the back of my saloon once (don't remember if I had to bend my legs a bit to fit), and since I'm more or less 62" tall, I imagine that 52" should be OK (but you should measure basically to be sure). I already know that 29" tire to tire should have adequate room, because of my luggage. However, I'd be concerned about the height above sea level of 9", particularly when stacked, as the front seatbacks typically slope towards the backside of the car as they run up, and the rear contents hatch door slopes towards the front of the car as it go up... (so the interior length gets smaller towards the top of the coup¨¦.) You may be able to return with one in, but I don`t know not two stacked... Unfortunately, this is all a thought exercise on my fragment - you could go calculate your Prius and prove me right or wrong... (I no longer have my 2004 Prius so I cannot manoeuvre myself.)
