i have an 87 fiero 2m4 beside auto tranny and 2.5l 4 cylinder motor. im looking to put the 3.1 out of a chevy lumina (with auto trans) into it, how hard is this and what adjectives do i need?
also, please dont reply stating i dont know or recitation me just to step somewhere else like google because i.e. not a answer and will be reported as a violation. if you enjoy a link to a 3.1l swap thats fantastic but recitation me that you dont know is just a blatent squander of my (as well as yourself) time. appreciation!
Answers: This may help except it involves a small block engine.
Check out his trellis site it is very cool. I hold a V-8 in mine and i go thourgh Archie.
You could try to contact him an see if he has any proposal or instructions.
If i were you I would gauge how much room the lumina engine takes up the lenght hight and depth, and see if it match up to the fiero cut out.
BTW, this may end up costing you give or take a few $8OO-1000 for all the extra parts and a unknown radiator. You will need a bigger radiator, because the fiero radiator is too small.
Sorry to voice, but "I don't know". However, I know who will: the people at Pennocks Fiero Forum.
Good luck beside that.
