Answers: I agree with the above post. I am looking at a unmarked 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and the numbers don't really make financial sense. With the amount of driving we do (maybe 8-9K per year), it would take 9-10 years to recuperate the difference in price between the Hybrid and a similarly equipped V-6 Highlander; it's not credible we'd actually keep hold of the car that long. Also, if we drive more miles, it's usually freeway miles, and within the Hybrid has no pre-eminence. We may still buy one...but it won't be to save money. D
