I apparently enjoy a slick from the grease sump contained by my Renault Scenic. Is this a huge post and would it come to pass again?

Why are used Lexus LX470 so expensive?

Answers:    The Oil sump is one of the lowest parts of the car, and commonly gets bumped. It's not usually a stressed element, and is usually a very simple cast that's bolted onto the bottom of the engine block. Depending of the material/extent of any hole, it can be an easy commission to patch it back up. Even the sabotage is extensive, a replacement shouldn't cost too much (it doesn't sound similar to it is too bad, else so would lose grease VERY fast)

If there isn't a perceptible hole/crack, then the filter might be from the gasket which forms a seal between the grease sump, and the bottom of the engine block. As the oil spills adjectives over the outside of the oil sump, it can be awkward to find where on earth the oil is escaping. Gaskets regularly get undermined when dismantling parts, so you they sometimes need to be renewed. Again they are honourably cheap/easy to replace, and renewal is often done when reattaching the grease sump anywhere, regardless of the manufacturer's recommendations.

If any hole is plugged/gasket replaced trickle shouldn't happen again unless the sump contacts the ground (little you can do except look out over rough ground/speed bumps), or the gasket gives (nothing last forever, but it should last a fitting many years.)

Question in the order of Honda Accord...

Leak within a sump is no problem. A small weld is all i.e. needed to cure it, hardly any expense. Don't dally to get it grow, an abandon sump is a disaster.
