Answers: you probably get water surrounded by the ignition coil/coil pack or distributor . Can't remember if 94's have a distributor or not. Or I don`t know the exhaust is plugged with mud?
sounds to me resembling the starter packed it it try getting someone to hold the push button forward and tap on the starter if it starts replace the starter
