I want my exhaust LOUD!!?

i have a 1990 mercury pompous marquis ls and ima goin to get a flowmaster 40's series but this guy told me 2 carry a dual chamber will this make it louder consequently a single?? or anything else i can do besides this to make it LOUD!!??
