I have a 2006 Caravan SE next to 17,577 miles on it. I have have brake jobs twice contained by the past 30 days and may presently need to replace the rotors due to the certainty they are still squeeling. Other than that I havent had any other problems except replacing a couple of light bulbs. Still I hold owned 3 new vehicle before this one and never have brake issues before 36,000 miles. Im also concerned beside the transmission issues the Caravan have had surrounded by recent years. Any positive or negative experiences are warmth.
Answers: It sounds to me like you may be a 2 foot driver one on the gas the other on the brake. 36K on a set of brakes isn't righteous. When you keep your foot on the brake they wear constantly. I've have 3 Caravans and liked them. The first 2 have transmission problems and A/C compressor problems. The one and only problem with the 3rd one be it suddenly lost power and the gas mileage went discouraging too. I now hold a Toyota Sienna and can get 32MPG if I drive 55MPH, it's rate at 26MPG. I don't like the Sienna as okay as the Caravan. My *** starts to ache inside 30-40 minutes of driving and it isn't near as comfortable as the Caravan and I own a hard time keeping it going within a straight line. You hold to steer it constantly and can't really relax like I did beside the caravan. It also developed rattles and started making creaking noise after it got 9,000 miles on it. The dealer's comment be they all do that and they voice the steering is OK too. I bought the Toyota because they are supposed to be the best. I don't think I'll buy another one.
never again, Toyota subsequent time
