My Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD 2006 OVERLAND UK keeps have intermittant flat batteries. It have happened give or take a few 8 times. The Jeep garage has usually not charged it, taken it on a trailer to here and then they try and diagnose the problem. When doing this they check what is drawing power from the battery-operated when off and locked (always nought draining it) then they question paper the alternator and claim it is fully functional and then check every electrical componant is working correctly, which it other is. Then they send it subsidise fully charged and all we can do is linger until it next breaks down. They own also changed the battery give or take a few 3 times and told us "we have never experienced this problem before".
Well today be the last straw, it refuse to start once again with the freestyle power incredibly low. I called jeep's breakdown service and they would lone charge it, not take it contained by. That is unacceptable. Therefore I am going to charge it myself and thieve it into them.
Does anyone know the problem?
Answers: You might have them transmute the ignition switch, I know there be an issue with them within the US, I don't know about the ones contained by the UK.
On my 1999 GC 4.7L, I routinely have a local auto electric shop verbs the battery posts and connections every 9 months. GC's are not tolerant of fruitless electrical connections. I've found that an auto electric shop is often more educated than several of the factory dealerships on the subject of electrical connections and proper operation. I'd suggest that if the mobile has not be replaced, do that. The battery could enjoy a bad cell which would allow it to work surrounded by a limited trend. Good luck!
