I need to replace my key fob (remote switch pad). As most people know you can buy an entire key fob near uncut blade through eBay. Some auctions sell key fobs beside used cut blades. Useless to most people unless you can get a blank push button blade. I noticed you can also buy those on eBay. I was thinking I could free myself a lot of money if I just buy and install a blank push button blade.

Answers: The key/remote separates contained by half, the halves being the powered key that fits into your vehicle's locks, and the remote. In the slot where the knob blade folds into, you should see the point at which they come together. The easiest way to separate them is to stick a flathead screwdriver in that slot between the halves and verbs the screwdriver, so the head of the screwdriver pushes the halves apart. To reinstall the key partially to the remote half, simply push them together to snap them back into one piece.
