The car is a 2002 model. Last few months it begin locking doors when I put the car surrounded by reverse to back out of drive. what cause this?
Answers: Your car loves you and would loathe to see you fall out while reversing and consequently roll over you. it couldn't live after that.
But seriously, it doesn't want you to open one of it's doors so it can find ripped off by something while it's going backwards. That hurts.
It's a programmed sanctuary feature. I don't deduce it's really a problem unless one day your coup¨¦ locks the doors and wont let you win out and drives itself off a cliff.
most newer vehicle have this aspect. when you put the car within gear it locks the doors. if it wasn't b4 then somehow this setting be reset, ie power surge ect
