I'm interested in buying a 2007 jeep wragler JK, i be interested in some optical customization. first off, i'd resembling to get a 2" skyjacker suspension lift up kit. Now i'd similar to to know, after the lift, how substantial can i go beside the rims and tires. Can i put 28" rims on it with a side wall of 4-5", or do i obligation to go smaller?

Where to start.....
DO NOT PUT 28" WHEELS ON A JEEP.
1.They will tear the jeep apart
2. Most 28" wheel are made only within 8 lug. You jeep is a 5 lug
3. They will look terrible on the jeep
That said, 22" wheel will look decent, and will fit on the jeep. Plus they engineer tires that will work. Nitto and toyo both have wheel that will work. You can put 33" tall tires on a JK near a 2.5" lift and that will work out.
Answers: A rule of thumb....every time you stir up, you must go out. Having said that every time you heave a vehicle you need to be in motion out with the backspacing, or your gonna look stupid and be sour center and tilty. I don't think that it matter that much with a short time ago a 2" lift. And my quiz for you is...Why do you want big ol' fancy wheels on something that you are lifting? Obviously you are not going wheel because if you were your wheel would be narly looking, and would cost you a lot of money. This is why I stick to the supporting black steels.
