I have a 2004 mazda 6. When it is cold, it rattles/grinds when I make turns. Once it is warm up it makes similar noises when I am contained by D and stopped at lights, or when I am parked. What could this be? It seems to be coming from under the sports car or in the engine. Thanks
Answers: My father's old 323 (protege) develeoped duplicate problem 7 years ago - when idling, it sounded like a diesel engine. We took it to Mazda and they identified the problem as the loose timing belt. It be caused by the faulty apparatus that controls the tension of the belt. It was replaced and the smash stopped.
You should take the car to a garage asap because it can harmed the engine - that's what Mazda told us.
