Mileage and nonspecific direction on a 96 eclipse spyder gst?

good condition, and the vendor wants 4 for it. great body work and 19 inch rims. tremendously clean, but it have 108K miles. good buy?

Will headers that fit a 67 chevelle...

Answers:    That price sounds something like right. 108k miles isn't always as fruitless as it sounds. It really depends on whether the car be abused during that time, although, since the milage is pretty low for its age, I doubt that it's had a complicated life. However, you can expect that the dampers (shock absorbers) are any worn out, or at least almost worn out, alstough the bearing, bushings and springs are probably just fine.

If I remember, the GSt is FWD next to a turbo, not AWD. If I'm wrong, someone please tell me (my principal experience is with the seriese one Eclipse, and the AWD journal was call the TSi.) Anyway, this engine is still pretty good on gas (remember to other use premium - the extra compression from the turbo can detonate regular gas at high boost), and the small bit of turbo wad means that you won't be accidentally smoking your tyres (and 19" tyres are EXPENSIVE) at every oil lamp, plus it makes it much easier to drive contained by snow. And about the time that you've get some traction and the clutch is fully engaged (I hope it's a stick shift, but you didn't say) is when the turbo kick in. Very nice timing! Also, put together sure that the engine hasn't been modified contained by any significant way - the concluding thing you call for is someone else's bad concept under your hood. Do it yourself, and you know if it's done right. Besides, the stock motor have somewhere around 220 hp, so it's no slouch.

Does the roof leak? When you nick it for a test drive, pocket it to a car clean. Look very scarcely, including in the mat against the firewall, and don't forget to check the trunk. If ANY water get in, start to win worried. If the roof has any problems, it can attain very expensive. Also, see if you can see lower than the front and read bumpers. Look inside the trunk, and under the hood, contained by front of the radiator. Many of these cars have be rear-ended (because they brake better than most), or have rear-ended someone else (since kids resembling to pretend they can race them on the roads.) Look for bent metal between the tail lights, or around the front pedals arches, radiator support, or front cross member.

Always remember that the Spyder is not a true sports motor. The extra chassis work needed to keep the vehicle rigid without a roof make it a lot heavier than the coupe, and even afterwards it will still want to flex a lot over bumpy roads. This resources that you can expect lots of nuts and bolts (especially in the interior) to start shaking loose and rattle. In fact, I've never see any convertible that didn't do this. Also, make sure the doors aren't flabby. Some cars do this as the hinges wear over time, but convertibles sometimes do this when the chassis starts to sink in the middle. This is a baaaaad sign.

And other take the motor to a good mechanic for a thorough check. I can confer about it adjectives I want, but only someone who is in fact looking at the car can really vote what's up with it.

A final word roughly speaking security. NEVER make tracks anything in your vehicle. Firstly, remember that you can't really lock it, since they can always cut a hole through the roof, make in, and unlock the door from the inside. So never leaev anything you significance inside the car - including contained by the trunk - for long periods of time. And secondly, NEVER, EVER check out of anything in verbs inside the car (leather jacket, CDs, iPod, etc...even cigarettes, since this will tempt some relations - and it doesn't take a drunk outside a stick long to cut your roof open so he can get hold of them. That roof will still cost you a bundle - and your insurance will go sky-high.

Good luck!

2000 chevy cavalier problem?

Yes it is a great buy, lately let the engine thaw out up and when its warm check the revs and check if they stay inside 2-3 hundred rpms, if they stay then the engine vacuum is still apposite and it is a really good buy.
