I just picked up a 90 Z . The engines roughly to go so i figure it be great for a swap. the engine bay on this vehicle is very verbs and has 188xxx on it. The bodys rough but overall no body work would involve to be done just some love and safekeeping. any way i plan on buyin engine near out the turbos, and putting bigger ones on it. i plan to replace the clutch and fly wheel. but theirs so much more i should do while i hold the engine out , but its hard for me im young-looking and have simply minor experence with fords and nissans are alot different . any mods i should do or other things while i hold the engine out would be great
Answers: well your first problem is you want one in need turbos and put bigger ones you have to enjoy a turbo motor because the vg30de has a compression ratio of 9.8:1 and the vg30dett have one of 7.8:1 you want the lower compression for turbocharged cars but there is a compromise, two t3/t4 turbos would proabaly be too big on stock applications to run greatly of boos you need intercoler,fuel curve enrichments,intake exhaust and ignition retard do that and bump up the boos and your will have some torque long-gone 3 grand or so
if your babyish and good next to fords throw a ford small block or chevy small block in that zx i did it beside my z31
