OD switch dilemma?

I just bought a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the OD sign has already be erased from the switch. Can anyone please tell me when the OD is on and past its sell-by date? Is the OD engaged when the switch is pushed surrounded by or the other way around? Thanks within advance!

My bloody indicator Lights?

Answers:    I hold a 97 grand Cherokee and my O/D is on when the button is out and in that is a light that comes on on the career as well.

In covering your light is out you can also find out while driving at a highway speeds, not at a stand still. At 55 mph your RPM's are some be around 2 grand next to O/D on....almost 3 with O/D past its sell-by date.

O/D is basically another gear so when it is unavailable your RPM's are lower

Know where on earth to find.. HumVee...

OD is an extra gear in the nouns. If your not towing something or driving in steep hill it should be turned on. You get better mileage near it on. I think nearby is a light on the scuttle that tells you when you own turned it of.
