i have the kind of grease filter adapter that has a 90 degree angle so it is parallel to the block (74 plymouth duster near a 360)... the bolt that goes through it broke and i cant find another one . .. will the other type of adapter work. . ./the one where you can screw filter straight to the block. . .next to seal, plate, double sided bolt then filter ?

i think regardless of what you still need to obtain that bolt out of it for any adapter to work with it,if I'm not mistaken you do have to remove it,and you can buy that bolt as a replacement also,i never run across that problem before,good luck,

do you have the stamped steel plate and satisfactory clearance for the filter to screw in straight? If so, don't forget the paper gasket between the bloc, consequently the metal plate, held on with the "hollow bolt".
