Peugeot 306 unknown switch doesn't operate central locking system?

I had lost the original switch of peugeot 306. I bought a new key and get it programmed. But the new key doesn't operate medium locking system. Plz help me:(

If the key actually turns the lock it is the programming. If the knob does not turn the lock then the key have been miscut, this ususally happens when a switch machine has not be adjusted properly.

In either baggage call a real Locksmith within your area they can easily aid.
Contact the dealer who did this for you and they should be able to give a hand. The car will be paired with the switch, you may be able to do this yourself as your instruction book may tell you how to do this.

My car (ford) handbook tell me that any new keys should be put into the ignition and turned to the second position (without in fact turning the engine on) wait a few moments and then run it out. It is possible that your new key hasn't be programmed properly!!

Your infrared beneficiary unit may be faulty. Try replacing it. It can be obtain cheaply second hand.
