are preformance chips worth the money? In a dodge? If so where do i find them for a 2003 Dodge Intrepid?
The only approach to really increase performance is with a computer reprogram. Kenne Bell does this, its call the
"OPTIMIZER ll COMPUTER UPGRADE" and will run you $350.
How it works is, you go to their website http://www.kennebell.net , and look for the booth on this (here it is... http://www.kennebell.net/accessories/opt... )There is a form to print out that you fill out your driving habits and any modifications you hold done to your car, etc...
You then remove your PCM, box it up and UPS it to them. They reprogram it, and Overnight it hindmost to you. All this and you get 10HP and have to run premium, so it's up to you if it's worth it... I've required to do it, but with the price of gas nowadays, I find it concrete to justify. Hope this helps.

I agree they do comfort on some applications. But those applications have had extensive tuning perform by professionals on specific models. I have not seen a ably made chips for an intrepid! Honestly you would be better off with some kinda of intake or exhaust!

The single performance "chip" you'll find for an Intrepid is really a cheap resistor hidden inside a fancy box, that go inline between the Intake Air Temp sensor and the PCM.
