I have a "97" Chevy Cavalier RS ,my problem is while I be driving home there be a squealing noise coming from the engine, I have the heater on and the temp gage go into the hot zone on it, the ABS warning wishy-washy came on as capably.When I turned the heater past its sell-by date the temp gage went down but the squealing continued as ably as the ABS warning lantern.I turned the heater final on and the gage went support up again.

I BET ITS THE ALTERNATOR BEARING BIS BAD. THE ABS SYSTEM WORKS ON A VOLTAGE OF 14.5 OR SO .IF THE ALTERNATOR VOLTS GOES BELOW 14 VOLTS THE ABS WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY AND THE SELF CHECK WILL SET THE ABS LIGHT ON. CAUSE OF SOME BEARING PROBLEM ,WILL CAUSE THE ALT TO SLOW DOWN AND LOW VOLTAGE TOO.
