Renault Key Fob Battery.?

Ok ive just bought a S Reg Renault Scenic and the fob battery-operated is a bit low i think as you inevitability to be less than a meter from the coupé before it works. I want to exchange the battery but if i do will it mess up the immobiliser? as i've hear that u need fresh codes ect.

Also what size battery do i entail?

The fob is easy to start (although i've not done it yet too panicky lol) It has a screw within the middle.

Should i just move about to the garage and let them charge me lb50 for a clean battery or should i move about to the local jewelers and buy 1 myself for lb5 ??

Any help please back the battery go completly dead as if it does i wont be capable of start my car as the immobiliser will see in.

Thanks surrounded by advance.

I lost my saloon key?!?

Answers:    Do it yourself.

Check your encyclopaedia. You might need to put the switch in the ignition and hold the remote button contained by for 10 seconds to "pair" the vehicle and fob again. I've owned that many cars, I can't take out what I had to do near my Renault Laguna (T-reg, so similar era) but I do recall it be pretty simple.

Whats the best mid size vehicle for...

you can change it yourself its no problem & it wont do any damage to the immobiliser
