I have a 01 Ford F150 truck and I have a misfire contained by plug 5 , 7, 8. I need to know where these plugs are located so I can check them. If I am looking at the engine which side would they be on??
Passengers side. Ford label front to rear 1,2,3,4 drivers side and 5,6,7,8 on passengers.
Answers: Cylinder numbers 5, 6, 7, and 8 are adjectives located on the DRIVER side. But before you start replacing parts, it would probably be a good belief to bring it in and have it diagnosed, since they are adjectives on the same bank of cylinders. You could possibly hold a plugged up bank #2 catalytic converter. Even if it is more expensive, you are better off bringing it contained by to a Ford dealer, where the technician can look at adjectives the pertinent readings (O2 switching, short and long fuel trims, fuel pressure leakdown on the injectors, etc. etc.) in detail next to IDS. You'll be wasting money if you start "throwing parts" at it in hopes of fixing it. Hope this helps.
