Transmission Problems?

I cant shift into reverse at all. I enjoy tried to adjust the linkage but its not helping. i did notice that the shift linkage is sloppy and could be cause the problem. I can run through all the gears manually so I know its not the nouns itself. What else causes this?

Answers: There is an adjustment at the shifter itself but requires a special template. Do you enjoy any aftermarket parts on the trans? I have see the counter balance cause a problem. Can you disconnect the linkage and engage reverse beneath the hood? Will it engage next to the engine off? If not later you need a spanking new reverse gear set with synchro, if you can grip with engine stale then clutch is doomed to failure, if you can engage beside link disconnected afterwards linkage issue
