I have a 94 teg ls. I'll be engine swapping it soon near a b18c1 engine (Shipped today) I wanted to ask what turbos do you guys recommend? Also do you guys recommend a supercharger inplace of turbos? (I plan on racing)
Answers: vote hell no to superchargers they are a waste of gas! because they run constatly and not virtuous for hondas. and if you are looking to spend a pretty penny i recomend you get the top mount turbo is much easyer for everything install tune ect... which turbo utensils is really up to you good luck
I'm sure turbonetics make a decent utensils since I've seen them submit many applications for lots different vehicles throughout the years, but (if I have the money) I'd go beside the greddy unit. They enjoy a reputation for building great turbo. As far as your supercharger question, turbos hold the potentional to make more power but (depending on the type of racing) you may wanna consider a superchager. They're much more reliable and don't suffer from turbo wad. Like I said it depends on the racing your doing. If your going to be road race (on a track of course, lol) afterwards I'd get the supercharger. If you plan on drag race I'd get the turbo because you'd own time to let the turbo cool down between runs whereas surrounded by road racing the turbo will warmth up during competition thus creating the dreaded turbo lag.
