every time i come out of 1st and 3rd gear the gear box makes a squeaking noise any planning?
Where is the rumpus actually coming from? If it's coming from the gearlever area inside the sports car, the base of the lever or the selector rods just below it probably call for greased, not a big job.
If the noise is in truth coming from the gearbox itself, which is right at the front of the car, bolted to the engine, then the box may want attention.
Answers: Pulling the lever backwards form both the first and third gear involves using the same linkage rod. The only difference is the OTHER linkage rod which tilts the gear lever a bit bit to the right.
I would suspect the little BALL JOINT needs some grease. It is a wonder why you don't have duplicate squeek coming out of 5th gear as well.
Grease these joints from underneath the coup¨¦. They can be seen easily.
