Answers:    Those are some of the most inaccurate answers I hold ever seen. First of adjectives, if you have $2K to spend, you are not going to be capable of afford "the biggest turbo" and its supporting modifications. This would include T3/T4 turbos, which are not bolt-ons to the WRX, and thus would cost close to $5000 for custom fabrication or paraphernalia.

What I would recommend for your budget is a turboback exhaust, an uppipe, and engine management. This give you around 300-305 horsepower, fast and smooth torque, and like mad of area below the power curve.

If you are going to upgrade the turbo, you have plentifully of choices. A good affordable and significant bolt-on turbo is the Mitsubishi TD05-16G (Super 16 version). (The VF39 STi turbo is to be avoided as many of them develop cracked compressor housings, and since the VF34 is superior.)

When upgrading the turbo you will requirement a turboback exhaust, uppipe, and you will also need an upgraded fuel pump and injectors, and custom dynotuning.

How do you revision dashboard lights to...

You want the biggest turbo you can attain, and a huge exhaust pipe (at least 3" adjectives the way from front to back)
