I've been looking into buying a vehicle for my sons 16th birthday and he is really into buying an Eclipse. We found a 02' Eclipse GT at a car dealership next to 50k miles on it. Is the engine on it going to last for a while? What style of mileage does it get?(It's an auto). It have very accurate condition exterior and good condition interior. They are asking 8000 for it. Is this a devout price?

Answers: that one sounds close to it may be really nice if the mileage is correct on it that's not a bad price for it,but hold them run a car fax on it,those be good little cars,and the engines final really good surrounded by them, but don't buy it without have it checked out really good by a dutiful mechanic,he should be able to go and get 200 thousand out of it real confident,I'm just not comfortable beside that price though and it a 02 model,but with it human being the gt if it is in pious shape that may be one of those deals that's too flawless to pass up,polite luck with it,hope you carry it.
I had a 1995 Eclipse GST. And it have 109300 with i bought it. Automatic also. I drove it for roughly 250 miles and i got hit. and it be considered totalled. but it was great. i have to replace teh alternator though. thats it. replaced belts and stuff. Im 16 also. I liked the coup¨¦. Drove nice. $8000 is relaly good. Cars close to that cost aroudn 10,000 around my area. Get it checked out at a local mechanic formerly you buy it. Just in grip. Good luck
