My wife and I are considering either the 07 Accord Hybrid or the 08 Accord EX-V6 in the next couple of months. Any suggestions? When's the best time to buy between very soon and March, which can I get for cheaper, how much can I expect to settle up for each, and which is the better convenience? Leather (which I think is standard for the 07 conformity hybrid) would be nice, but we don't care that much going on for it for the 08 Accord. Thanks in credit for the advice!
I would plainly recommend the 2008 Accord EX V6! It is a totally redesigned model compared to the 2007, and the reason they stopped making the Accord Hybrid is becuase the gas mileage be not very much different than the gasoline engines. I own a 2005 Honda Accord EX V6 coupe and I loooove it!! The places are sooo comfy and the seat heaters work great. I love the touch peak controls and the voice activated controls. My vehicle has 108K miles on it, it have never had 1 serious problem and it still runs approaching it was brand exotic. I drive very aggresively and mostly surrounded by the city and I average 25-26mpg, and a lot more than that on the highway. I cannot believe how much luxury, power and reliabilty this vehicle has to proffer, and the 2008's are even nicer and faster!
If you are worried about fuel reduction I would suggest a 2008 Accord with the 4 cylinder engine, or even the Acura TSX which is tremendously similar to the top end Accord that also offer a 4 cylinder engine. These will give you simply about like peas in a pod as the hybrid for gas mileage, but will be newer and be the redesigned model.
Good Luck
End of month is a great time to BUY your fresh car, but it is NOT the best time to form your first dealership visit. Salesmen do try harder to create sales at the extremity of the month, which is about the ultimate five days of the calendar month.
In addition to the fall of the month, there are better and worse times of the year to buy. Best time of the year to buy is the running out of December, in most dealerships. Dealerships try to kind specific quotas for end of month AND downfall of calendar year, and it is not a popular time to buy, so sales can slump seriously and they will try harder to manufacture a sale, which money a better bargain. If you shy away from buying surrounded by the winter because of bad weather, feel again: bad weather is when you WANT to be within the car, carrying out tests it’s foul weather capabilities.
Other angelic times of year to buy are end of August and failure of September because the old models are taking up space on the dealership property, and they want to net room for the new models to come within. If your heart is not set on a brand new model, this is an excellent time to buy a without fault good brand new car that happen to have be manufactured a few months earlier.
There is a incredibly important BUT to this pause of month advice: Do NOT manufacture your very first stop by to the dealership at the end of the month. Go to the dealership at the setting up or middle of the month, test drive the cars, find some info, then be in motion home and give yourself two to three weeks to attain the best financing. THEN go fund at month's end armed beside full information and a buying plan. Give yourself a day or two extra within case the first dealership doesn't work out and you requirement to go to another one. This is a big purchase, don't try to do it adjectives in an afternoon!
Answers: This depends on when you plan to buy, but right in a minute is an unusual time. As you know, the Honda Accord has changed a great deal between these two years, going from a mid-size to a large saloon in the US classification system. I be on a Honda lot just yesterday beside my Accord being serviced and while the 07 Honda Accords be being discounted between $3000 and $5000 bad with no negotiation (red tag on the car), the 08s were going full price beside no discounts becauase there are so few of them (three on the lot). So within a pure dollars and cents answer, the 07 is a better deal right presently (and by right now, I penny-pinching if you plan to buy now as surrounded by this week).
The only issue is that the hybrid have not sold well for Honda on the Accord model since it does not really raise gas mileage all that much and offer a performace boost instead. The lot I was on have about 15 Honda Accords for Dutch auction, and two were hybrids. As time pass your options will dwindle on the 2007 model since explicitly not manufactured anymore. So if you wait long satisfactory, the choice will be made for you as only the 2008 will be avaiable.
I hope this help, good luck near it. For the better value, it is no contest - buy very soon and get a big discount on the discontinued 2007 Hybrid if you similar to the car, enjoy test driven it, and the financing (if you necessitate it) is lined up.
