2006 Honda Civic Si, 2000-2002 Pontiac Trans Am, or Pontiac GTO?

Im looking for a car somewhere under 20K. I want something prompt or something that will be easily upgradeable to get abundantly of power out of it. I want it to be street legal and a semi daily drive also. Im not as worried just about gas mileage bc I have 1997 Trans am now and I am arranged to upgrade. If none of theses, any other suggestions?

i`ll bet for the civic si or type r.Si is 2.0 liter engine with197 hp same with Type R but next to 3 hp more and weighs less than the Si.and civics are jammy to upgrade `coz there are many aftermarket products available for that type of sports car and the best thing is that all of the upgrade parts are accessible surrounded by anyone`s pocket and there are many upgrade manufacturer to choose from not just like for trans-am and pontiac

Answers:    Ok this is gonna be a long answer. If sounds like you are interested within a good little street racer, and on particularly any specific type of race. I'll break it down between the three.

1. 2006 Honda Civic Si
These cars aren't that bad, with 197hp and a LARGE aftermarket underpinning...but they aren't in the same class as an LS1 Trans am or LS2 GTO. They solely run the quarter mile in 14.8-15.1. If you aren't worried about gas mileage or winter driving...skip this one. They are GREAT cars, but they freshly aren't competitive street racers. You'd do better with an older 92-00 hatchback and a B18 swap...at lowest possible then you'd be in the 13's near the other two choices without any other mods.

2. 00-02 Pontiac Trans Am (98-99 work jast as well too)
These cars hold the all aluminum LS1 V8, and are rated at 305hp for the Base Formula and Trans Am...and 320 for the WS6...I own a 2000 Trans Am. Honestly, we obligation to cover a few things first. The LS1 in ALL of the Trans Am model is VASTLY underrated. It is essentially equal engine the 345hp 97 Corvette had. In otherwords.you'll more than likely be making around 340hp. They underrate them to sell more Vettes. Also, the differences between the Formula/Trans Am/WS6 models is nill. They all get the same power on the dyno, and you won't really see a difference with the WS6 until around 90mph...if at adjectives. These cars are a great choice though, running 13.2-13.7 stock depending on the tires. I ran 13.5 with only just a crappy catback exhaust and horrible tires..lol. With simple bolt ons and a head/cam swap you can see 11's on sticky DOT Drag tires. The Camaro is basically the same coup¨¦ I'm sure you know, but they obviously don't look as mean. The Camaro looks similar to it could kick your ***..the Trans Am looks like it's coming over to do it!

3. Pontiac GTO
Personally I love these cars, but they aren't really much faster than the Trans Ams are stock. With 400hp they aren't a set-up, but the massive amount of extra weight keeps them stuck contained by the low to mid 13's. They are also far more expensive and the "Big Grand Am" looks just don't do it for me.

Some other choices in your lower than 20K price range.
86-91 Mazda RX7 Turbo
93-95 Mazda RX7 Twin Turbo
88-02 Mustang Cobra/GT
91-96 Chevy Corvette
97-04 Chevy Corvette
88-91 Toyota Supra Turbo
93-98 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo
90-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX/Eagle Talon TSi AWD
91-99 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4/Dodge Stealth R/T AWD
02-04 Subaru WRX
90-95 Toyota MR2 Turbo

Also if you are willing to spend around 25K
91-05 Acura NSX
03-UP Mitsubishi EVO
03-UP Nissan 350Z
04-UP Mazda RX8
05-UP Mustang GT
00-UP Honda S2000
89-94 Nissan Skyline R32 GTR (If you can find one to introduction as a kit car and re-assemble it here)

Anyways, that's in the region of all I can think of short looking...hope this helps!
