I'm 16 and I'm looking to buy a car. I have roughly speaking 2300 saved up right now, and I'm getting my subsequent paycheck in about a week. I really involve a car right now because I no longer enjoy transportation to and from work. Anyways my question is can I find a good vehicle that doesn't have too many miles and runs perfect for about 2500$? Where should I look/and what should I look for? Answers: $2300 is a righteous down payment which will open up opportunity to finance a car. You probably won't bring back anything too good or long lasting for that price alone. I wouldn't recommend leasing because you're babyish and they'll hit you hard with fees if you wounded *their* car.
Get something really practical, nothing too special. It might not give the impression of being like it but after years of payments, you'll realize that it is a big investment and you don't want to be stuck with lofty monthly payments just to have a hot ride at such a young at heart age. But financing is your best shot to get in something reliable and what you enjoy is a nice down payment. Get a co-signer (mom/dad?) and get to a dealership.
