Can you sort a clad living buying & selling cars from home?

How outdated must a vehicle be until...

+ its also againt the directive for some reason or other.
Most auctions will only vend to a registered dealer. Laws vary but most states mandate that you own a business license, have a showroom or repair facility and are primarily engaged contained by automotive sales.

Wholesalers don't have to own a business address here in Wisconsin but then again they aren't allowed to put up for sale to retail customers.only dealers.
Same as krooser2...NC law are the same, and probably most states in the US..You must hold a dealer license because the auto business is highly regulated by the DMV..Very strict law ...If this was not the case, everyone would enjoy a few in his front yard, and beside no DMV enforcement,I can only imagine the cast-offs that would be sold..

How much could I catch for...?

You can but profit will be real low. Try doing it with sports car dealers instead

Car Importing Help?

Answers:    if you are here asking weather or not you can make a living selling cars from home afterwards you really dont know a lot about cars so i would suggest that you work surrounded by the field of car sale and learn all give or take a few cars and what cars sell well and hold at hand value etc, you could buy a car and if you be to keep it six months before you get a buyer you could end up selling it for less than you compensated for it and that is because some cars lose so much money very speedily.
go to the auctions regular and get to know population in the trade because many groups of citizens at auctions will bid against each other to get you to bid soaring and normally the auctioneer will be involved in the scam and trust me that this go on even at the biggest auctions, car dealers within the trade will skin you alive if they think you have little or no know-how in car sale and dont ever ever take advice from a motor dealer unless you have become friends because you can guarantee he is trying to work out how he will bring your money. the secondhand car industry is closely monitered by the office of even-handed trading and trading standards and the police due to the amount of stolen cars on the roads, statistcs show one in three cars has a chronological history, if you want to sell from home try and look at trucks and vans because dents and digs are not really a problem on a van as much as a car.
suitable luck.

I jus a bought a modern coup¨¦...

You can but you enjoy to be very careful indeed. Many of the cars at auction are at hand for a reason. You only requirement one dog of a car to wipe out your profits.

Do some research on you margins and produce sure you specialise in an area that presents smaller amount risk. If you buy cheap cars and make them look better and then put on the market for a small margin you will have a faster turnover but smaller number exposure to loss.

Good luck
