On ebay what does it mean when a motor has a salvage title when it looks impeccably fine to me.
Answers: It means that the sports car was contained by a wreck at one point or another, and it was cheaper for the insurance company to total it, instead of fixing it. So it go to the junkyard. Then, some enterprising person comes along, buys the bang up car, fixes it and sell it.
My boyfriend just bought a vehicle with a salvage title two months ago, and because we live in California, they hold SO many regulations for salvage titles that it has truly be a nightmare from hell having to go underwater through all of these expensive "hoops" contained by order to attain the damned thing registered.
(And it's STILL not registered even so! He just call me this afternoon from DMV telling me that they hold yet ANOTHER item that they want him to do before they will consent to him register it!
My advice is specifically don't do it if you live in the wonderful state of California.
