Family of 6 looking to attain a second vehicle, SUV or MiniVan and why??

We are a family of 6, next to 3 TALL boys ages 15, 10 and 9 and a baby girl who is 2 and still within a car form and will be for next 4 years. We own a Dodge Ram 1500 quad hackney cab right now, but are looking at buying a second vehicle. We are stuck between a MiniVan beside better gas milage but less stowage and people space VS. the SUV that will guzzle the gas, but have more cargo space and is much roomier. We would resembling this vehicle to be our family trip taker. We are looking to buy used, so if it a Mini Van it will be a 2007/2006 for impossible to tell apart price as a 2004-2006 SUV.

Which would you go next to and why if you don't mind?

(Dad is 6'4, 15 yr old is 6'+ and the younger boys are already catching up!)

To buy a fresh saloon or lease...

Answers:    Minivan would be my choice:

Reason #1: Fuel cutback. You won't be able to find an SUV that can form six people that will seize good gas mileage.
Reason #2: Most "minivans" are purely as roomy as most SUVs. And if you are planning family trips....the 6 passenger SUv will own just as much luggage space as the minivan (3rd row seating eat up any cargo space you ruminate you might have more of surrounded by a SUV)
Reason #3: Safety....the statistics don't lie....minivans are safer.
Reason #4: With the newer vans you return with as much, if not more features than the SUV (except for the REALLY expensive SUVs), things resembling stow-away seating, entertainment convieniences, i.e. DVD player near LCD screens, etc.
Reason #5: Insurance....compare the prices, you are going to see a core difference between these 2 vehicles. The idea is, SUVs involved in an catastrophe cause more harm to both vehicles (if it's a multiple vehicle accident) and cost of repair is much high on a SUV.
Reason #6: Maintenance costs....you will spend more money maintaining an SUV than a minivan. Oil change will cost more, the tires will cost more, brakes, shocks....the list go on....

There are some more reasons, I picked the top 6 that come to mind.

Hope this help....

Which is better for performing? BMW .Vs....
